Chances are the counter or benchtop is going to be too high for you if you are a wheelchair user. If that is the case, you can use a small table with wheels as your preparation counter.

Ideally, you would have the kitchen designed so all the counter tops are at the right height, and ample clearance for your knees. Unfortunately, that’s not always convenient, nor affordable. A small table will allow you to move your work station around more easily. Convenient also to move heavy pots from one place to another.
